Although pre-orders for the 12-inch eerily lifelike Steve Jobs action figure have stopped, the item is still expected to begin selling in February this year. You can get the entire package at $99 as shown on the website of the Chinese company, In Icons.
Once again, In Icons teamed up with Dragon in Dreams, a Hong Kong-based toy manufacturer to co-create the 12-inch remarkably realistic action figure. The two companies previously partnered in 2008 to co-create Barack Obama action figure.
As represented on In Icons’ website, the 12-inch action figure will be shipped with one realistic head sculpt & two pairs of glasses; one highly articulated body & three pairs of hands; one black turtleneck & one pair of blue jeans; one black leather belt & one chair (wood + metal); one pair of black socks & sneaker; two apples (one with a bite); and one piece of ONE MORE THING hard backdrop.
The retail price of the entire package of Steve Jobs action figure is $99.99, and this does not include shipping. With shipping fee, the item will cost $109.99 USD to the United States, $119.99 USD to Europe and Asia, and $129.99 USD to other parts of the world.
Shipping is actually expected to start in late February 2012 to all parts of the world. You can visit the “order page” of the Chinese company to buy Steve Jobs action figure or make enquiry concerning their wholesale package. To avoid surprises, the company makes it clear on their website that the shown prototype, color or appearance may differ slightly from the final product you get.
However, some people argue that it is too early to start monetizing the business icon, whereas the Chinese company clearly stated their motivation by boldly writing on their website – Dedicated to the genius, great inventor and visionary: Steve Jobs.
